Ahhh, the Magic of this World. by CassieI have just returned from a quick dip in the ocean at Boody Boody National Park. Apart from the water being gloriously refreshing, I was amazed how beautiful the scenery was. There was basically various shades of green and blue interupted by the white sand. I took several moments to consider how 200 years ago, majority of the Australian coastline would have had similar features. I then thought of the scar us humans have made on beaches like Surfers Paradise and started to cringe. Have escaped the state by CassieWell, yesterday I managed to ride over the border into New South Wales. There were some hairy moments getting over the border as the roads were not designed for cyclists and we had traffic moving close to 100km/hr and 2 lanes merging at a similar rate with us stuck in the middle. Anyway we managed to cross the highway with no incidences. It's been nice spending time in Maryborough by CassieWell,it's been nice spending time in Maryborough. It seems as though there is a bike culture here - especially bmx's. How pleasant it is to go to lock your bike and have an area dedicated for bicycles.
Have been sampling coffees and indulging in greasy fat chips. So far the coffees has been disappointing but the chips have been a delight. My first touring experience by CassieWell this is my first touring experience and I must say that I'm totally enjoying the experience. Touring is something that I've entertained for a few years however I've always wanted someone to hold my hand as I've no idea around maintenance of a bicycle and would appreciate someone sharing the "tricks to the trade".
