Beck, Hattie, CAt and Wiselaw

CANC3 has re-begun. Yesterday (Monday 17th September) we got off to a leisurely start. Our tour guide for the day was Wiselaw Lichacz- a veteran of the anti-nuke bike ride. Wiselaw was on the the Ride Against Uranium back in 1975, 1976 and in 1977. It was an awesome day. We visited the parabolic solar thermal system at ANU. The dish is a great example of renewable energy technologies here and ready to go now.

We stayed at Wislaw's house and were treated to a slide show of the rides he was part of. Inspiring stuff. We saw images of big camps, bare chests, an atom free tent embassy and lots of bikes. In Melbourne we plan to re-live the 1970s magic on Sunday 14th October. Ride with us from Frankston to Carlton in your hippy-est best as an ode to the 32 year history of anti-nuke bike rides. And dont' forget we are always looking for more CANC3 riders. A great way to join would be for the ride into Melbourne and on to Adelaide for a fabulous finale. See the Southern Itinerary for where you can join us :)
